Tuesday Morning – October 23, 2007

Welcome!

Well here I am and I pray that those of you who found “Marty’s Struggle” so meaningful and helpful will be able to receive inspiration and help from this blog. At this point I do not know how often I will publish, but I do not think it will be daily, but if time allows (without putting to much pressure on me) I will try, at least I will do it as often as possible so I will just say for now keep your eyes open for “Jack’s Dispatch”. Just as you never know when a 911 call will come in, so only God knows when I will dispatch on the blog.

I have so much to share about the last 72 days because God has been so good – praise the Lord – and has been in my life in so many different ways. But what really got me motivated this morning is that I went to Defiance yesterday for two reasons. The first was to place an order for a quote for the head stone for our graves. It was so awesome! I have been working on an idea in my head and finally put something on paper. When I showed it to Mark he was so positive and excited that it was really refreshing to me. He could see in it what I had been saying that I wanted and he had some suggestion and clarification that were awesome. It was really a blessing to see it all come together. Praise the Lord! And I thank Mark for his kindness, caring, talent, and ability he is a real servant of the Lord’s.

And the second thing yesterday that was really important is that Erin’s class, and the second grade class, at her school had a music program last night. What a joy – praise the Lord! Erin was in the front row and she did an awesome job – praise the Lord! She sang her heart out and really seemed to be having a great time. She reminded me so much of Marty and the way she liked to sing. It was a great program and Eric and I were both so proud of Erin. Of course, the theme was America so needless-to-say that was right down my lane and I just loved it. Praise the Lord! God speaks to us so many different ways.

Everyone wants to know how I am doing, and I think I am doing pretty well with God’s help and lots of support from family and friends all around. It is different and it isn’t easy but God is good - all the time! All the time - God is good. Buddy and I talk daily about Marty. At first when I would talk to him about her he would not look at me, nor would he put his ears up. Besides that he would not get on her side of the bed, and certainly would not lie on the blanket that they both loved so much. But I am happy to say that Buddy is doing better. He will now look at me with his ears up and will lick my hand when I talk to him about Marty. He will lie on her side of the bed and pillow but is still not on the blanket very much. Praise the Lord! He was so good to Marty and now Buddy is being so good to me. God knows what He is doing.

I am going to tone it down for now, but always know and remember that you are Loved.

Have a positive day and God bless.

Jack
