Greetings:
Thought I might put a short note on tonight. It has really been a busy week. Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the church and tonight did not get home until almost 9:30pm after leaving at 6:30am. But it has been a positive week. Praise the Lord!
This morning I left early to go to a conference in Greencastle and it was a rather interesting start to the day. It was, of course, still dark when I left and I mean dark. The moon was not bright, nor did I see any stars out. Then as I got out to Rt. 31 the traffic was rather heavy, certainly heavier that I expected it to be at that hour. And as I traveled south seeing all the head lights of the cars, and little light from the sky it made me think about life today. It seems to me that we are so fast to "let our own lights light our way" and don't use a lot of light from around us, especially God's light to light our way. It may be a little stretch but I don't think to big of one. I think it is fair to say that we are pretty much a "me" society today. And that reminds me of Jeremiah 10:23 "I know, O Lord, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps." I was thinking this morning how does God handle all that comes His way from us. Praise the Lord that our God has the grace and love for us, His children, that He does. Thank you, Lord! The conference was very positive and certainly worthwhile. And the trip home was rather uneventful. Praise the Lord! And the day was good for the grief process, because I saw several friends that I had not seen since Marty won her victory and I got the opportunity to talk about it. In fact, I even stopped at one her breast cancer doctors and talked to her nurse to let them know that Marty was a "winner". Praise the Lord!
Well that is probably enough for now as I do need to get some sleep because tomorrow is another day to serve the Lord. Surprise, surprise, surprise!! By the way, at least here at the start of "Jack's Dispatch" you are getting it my way and I will still not even charge you extra for any mistakes. Enjoy!!!
Have a positive day and God bless!
Jack
